Abu Dhabi - Persepolis football coach Ali Daei said that the match against Al Wahda of the UAE in the Asian Champions League group stage will serve as a good warm-up game for the team.

Persepolis has failed to qualify for the next stage in Group C. The Iranian team is scheduled to play Al Wahda in Abu Dhabi’s Al-Faisal Stadium on Tuesday.
“We are well-prepared for playing against Al Wahda. The match can be served as a good warm-up for Persepolis. Our domestic league is not finished and we need to strengthen ourselves for the upcoming matches,” Ali Daei said in a pre-match news conference on Monday.
“Persepolis could have qualified for the knockout stage if we didn’t lose to Bunyodkor in Tehran. Also, we didn’t take advantage of our chances against Al Wahda in our home game. We made some costly mistakes in that match,” he added.
“Persepolis has come to the UAE to get three points against Al Wahda. It’s so important for us to beat the team on the UAE soil,” Daei said
